Say GOODBYE to what we all may know as THE DONUT HOLE in prescription drug coverage.
The Affordable Care Act (2022) will implement the final stages of drug coverage.

Right now we are waiting for the full implementation by the Healthcare Carriers. They have the instructions from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and must decide how to implement.

Training for Licensed Brokers begins soon with the Federal Government (CMS) then immediately following we will begin to train and license on the Carrier Plans.

Be sure you talk to a BROKER this year. Ask your Broker how many Carriers they are licensed to sell. This is very important so you know you have access to the plan that fits YOUR life the best. That could be a plan that does contain your medication, a plan that is cost effective, a plan that works with your doctor better (CMS rates plans in a Star-Rating system to help YOU make a good choice).

Star Rating Systems
There are four categories every single Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan must be judged by CMS. They take segments of the following:
1) How many members stayed or left the plan
2) They talk to the Doctors that must administer the plan.
3) They factor in complaints Medicare gets about the plan
4) They ask actual members that are ON the plan

It’s more complicated than that of course but from those 4 categories they give STAR RATINGS.

5 Stars = Excellent
4 Stars = Above Average
3 Stars = Average
2 Stars = Below Average
1 Star = Poor
