The Palmer Lake Historical Society presents: "Cowboy Stories" and the Code of the West by Mike Torreano.
His novels have received the Firebird Book Award for western fiction, American Writing Award finalist for mystery/suspense and historical fiction. His debut western mystery, The Reckoning, set in South Park, Colorado in 1868, was released in 2016.
Fireflies At Dusk, was released November 2023, and is set during the Civil War era, bringing his readers back in time as he recreates life in mid-to-late nineteenth century America. Dementia-care expert Paula Levy will lead two round table discussions at Jackson Creek Senior Living for caregivers, spouses, and families of individuals living with Alzheimer’s and related dementia. Sessions take place on Fridays, Sept. 20 and Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. in the Falcon's Nest.
Drawing from the success of Levy's immersive 5-week dementia boot camp, these community round tables will offer practical strategies, compassionate insights, and valuable support to enhance the caregiving journey.
