Hear their wonderful story about how to start and maintain a successful grass roots community effort that keep on giving.
Awake Palmer Lake's Mission: To salvage, restore, and recreate the natural majesty of the namesake of our town Palmer Lake.
This program will center on community volunteerism as the panel presents the mission, accomplishments, and future of the successful campaign to Awake Palmer Lake.
An enlightening evening with Palmer Lake's favorite business leaders. We appreciate all the efforts by Jeff and Jeannine and their volunteers and look forward to hearing their stories. Doors open at 6:30 PM, program starts at 7:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served after the program. FREE and open to the public. About the Palmer Lake Historical Society
Mission: The mission of the Palmer Lake Historical Society (PLHS) is to preserve, protect, promote, and provide access to historical data, artifacts and other items of significance relating to the Palmer Divide area and make resources available to the public primarily through the Lucretia Vaile Museum and annual programming.
Goals: The primary goals and objectives of the Palmer Lake Historical Society are to assemble, preserve, display (as feasible), and interpret historical objects and printed material pertaining to the Palmer Divide area that includes Palmer Lake, Monument, School District 38, the United States Air Force Academy, and as far east as Table Rock.

This grass roots non-profit organization called "Awake the Lake" sponsors many fundraisers throughout the year and relies on community involvement. Hear about the history of this amazing restoration project. Learn about the annual Awake the Lake .5K (Yes “Point” 5) race.The “Awake the Lake Run for Everyone” is a challenging entire ½ kilometer, where competitors are rewarded not only with the unique views of beautiful Palmer Lake, Colorado in autumn, but also a donut in the middle, and a beer/soda waiting at the finish line.
