Please join us at Journeys End, 11 Primrose Street, Palmer Lake, CO 80133, for a historic Anne Shimek retrospective. This exhibit is the first in a series of PopUp Palmer Lake exhibits.The late Anne Shimek was an important artistic figure in Palmer Lake. Until her death in 2017, Anne and her partner Mary, were integral in helping the community in any way they could. Anne spent her life at the potter's wheel. Her style has become iconic and many of her special commissions will be featured in ths exhibit.

A puppet show followed by a discovery hike through 3 habitats, observing, comparing and contrasting each. Geared towards Grades 1-2. Children at least 6 years old can be dropped off.

Tuesday, September 13, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
A puppet show and discovery hike give children the opportunity to learn about and fine-tune their senses. Geared for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Must have accompanying adult.
Colorado Wildlife Detectives
Tuesday, October 4, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Students play detective in a “who-dunnit?” scenario and hone their detective skills on a hike through different habitats, searching for signs of life and learning about food webs. Geared towards grades 3-5. Children grades 3+ can be dropped off.
Winter Adaptations
Tuesday, November 15, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
A puppet show, hike and interactive stations will highlight the adaptations of local animals in winter. Geared towards grades 1-3. Children at least 6 years old can be dropped off.

Maybe your logo looks outdated, poorly executed, or just overall sucky. Perhaps it’s a matter of poor balance, awkward spacing, clashing colors, unreadable typography… or all of the above.
But more often than not, whether or not you think your logo sucks, it was likely created without a foundational brand strategy. That’s where we come in.
On September 27, 2022, Join the brand strategy experts at Neon Pig Creative to re-assess your logo from square one. We’ll dig deep into your brand’s soul and substance with the ultimate goal of creating a road map that will improve your logo from “suck” to “sleek”.
We’ll touch on your brand’s mission, vision, and values… those foundational aspects that influence the overarching aesthetics of your brand. We’ll also think outside the box through interactive brainstorming sessions, allowing you to assess your brand from angles you never considered.
But this won’t all be abstract marketing exercises. We’ll also get down to brass tacks and talk about some of the literal qualities that make for a strong logo. We’ll look at some of the best logos designed by the best designers of all time to discover common threads.
