We hear about social media constantly: who tweeted this, who instagrammed that, did you see her story, did you pin that decor idea? It’s enough to make your head spin. The digital world, especially with its fast-growing social media trends, is overwhelming. If it’s tough to navigate and even tougher to keep up with, why is social media so important? These days, social media is unavoidable. Almost everyone uses it – but there is a difference between using social media and using it well. And that difference is having a social media strategy.

Facilitated by: TBD

Event Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

SEW Coalition "Year of the Story" Kickoff
Limbach Park, 5:00-8:00pm Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Tri-Lakes SEW Coalition is a group of students, parents, community members, professionals, and agencies, who meet to foster youth social emotional wellness in the Tri-Lakes community.  The mission of the SEW Coalition is working together to ensure that youth in the Tri-Lakes community who need mental health support will be seen and heard.

The Coalition has designated the coming school year as "The Year of the Story."   The focus of this event is to kickoff the "Year of the Story" and to encourage youth to share their stories of social and emotional stress so that others may be encouraged to share.  This sharing will be the beginning of a community conversation about ways to change our local culture to help improve wellness, to open up sources of help for youth who are struggling with social or emotional issues, and to combat the youth suicide.

THE 18TH ANNUAL TRI-LAKES CRUISERS BENEFIT CAR SHOW WILL BE ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 29, 2021.

SECOND STREET BETWEEN FRONT ST. AND JEFFERSON ST. WILL BE CLOSED FOR SHOW CAR PARKING FROM 6:00AM TO 2:00PM.

Greetings Neighbors!
The Tri-Lakes Cruisers Car Club of Monument is a not-for-profit community service organization and will again be holding its Annual Benefit Car Show in downtown Monument. This year we expect that 180 to 200 collector cars will be competing for more than 50 trophies. We estimate that 3000 to 5000 visitors will stroll down Second Street during the Show, bringing terrific exposure for area businesses. We invite you to consider how your business may benefit from our event, perhaps by opening for business, or providing brochures/coupons or “trinkets” with your logo that we can put in “goodie bags” we will give to up to 200 Car Show registrants. Black Forest Deli opened during the Show last year, had excellent traffic, and this year they will open again as one of our corporate sponsors!

Last year we donated $4000 from the show to Tri-Lakes Cares, and we have donated more than $40,000 to the community over the years.

It is our goal to minimize disruption to businesses and residents, and we have never had a complaint or an objection to our event. It has become a tradition for the area, and we are applying for our Special Event Permit from the Town as usual. We will have security, a LOT of trash receptacles, portable toilets, and plenty of volunteers to keep things running smoothly as in the past.
Please call Lon Wartman, Tri-Lakes Cruisers Chairman at  620-290-0544 with any questions or concerns you may have.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
