Join us at Fox Run Regional Park to learn about being safe in the outdoors! Families are invited to learn about hiking basics, preparedness, and outdoor awareness. For children ages 6-12 years old and their parents. $5 per person or $4 for members of El Paso County Nature Centers. Parents or guardians do not have to pay if they have their children registered. Pre-registration is required and spaces are limited. Due to COVID-19, class size is extremely limited and we are asking all participants to wear face masks. This class will take place in Pavilion #2.

Monumental Impact
Techno Chaos, a Tri-Lakes Chamber Member, invites you to join them on Monday, August 3rd, for a virtual discussion and collaboration on opportunities to enable and support high school students in their interests in technology, engineering and entrepreneurship.  A new nonprofit, Monumental Impact, has been founded this year to foster internships with local businesses and enable students to provide offerings as either products or services that build their skills and raise funds.  Monumental Impact will share their current status and efforts underway.  We will then open up for discussion.  If you are a business in the technology and engineering industry or an entrepreneur, we invite you to join us.

About Monumental Impact
Our Vision is to provide a shared space with the resources and a mentoring community of support that provides opportunities for industry experiences for individual students and the capabilities to enable supported programs.

We are so very excited to announce our 2nd Annual Bryson's Chase Charity Golf Tournament presented by Mortgage Solutions Financial, benefiting Children's Hospital Colorado Pediatric Mental Health Institute. It will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Country Club of Colorado with an 8 am shotgun start. This event is shaping up to be even bigger and better than last year! We will also have a speaker: Greg Von Williams to talk about Effective Communication for Business Leaders during COVID-19. 

Professional Speaker, Legislative Liaison for United States Space Force, and an Etiquette Trainer

A native of South Carolina, Greg received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. 

He has worked in Banking, Insurance, State and Federal Government, Education, Non-Profit and the Defense Department. 
Greg has been a resident of Colorado since 1997 and Monument since 2004. 

He is a member of the National Speakers Association and has been a member of the International Toastmasters Club for near 35 years.  In 2019 he won the Toastmasters International District 26 Speech contest beating out over 600 contestants throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska, with his winning speech entitled “Yes You Can” in which he explained overcoming both physical limitations and mental disbeliefs. 

Greg has spoken to college students, Olympic athletes, young and business professionals, general officers in the Air Force, and senior managers of Target. 

In his Legislative Liaison role for the United State Space Force, he is responsible for engaging with congressional members ensuring that the military service organizes, trains, and equips space forces in order to protect U.S. and allied interests in space and to provide space capabilities to the joint force.

Greg’s topics of interest include Communication, Professional Etiquette, Personal & Professional Development, and becoming Mentally, Physically, and Financially Fit.

He is actively involved in sponsoring and mentoring cadets from the United States Air Force Academy and is passionate about working out, enjoys playing tennis, and watching old episodes of the Andy Griffith Show and the TV Show Friends.
