The Historic Age of Antarctic Exploration

Scott Brock will present “The Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration” at Jackson Creek Senior Living on Friday, March 20 at 10:30 a.m. A local firefighter with a passion for the history and geography of Antarctica, Brock worked at McMurdo Research Station from 2005 to 2006. His presentation features a deep look at the history of the Antarctic continent with a focus on 1897-1917, including an overview of Shackleton's Endurance Voyage and the attainment of the South Pole.
