"The Longest Day" Fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer's Association
Description:
Jackson Creek Senior Living will host a 1950s-themed fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of “The Longest Day” on Saturday, June 22 from 2 to 5 p.m. The event will feature family-friendly games, root beer floats and an afternoon of ‘50s outfits, music and dancing, along with a cake walk and silent auction to raise funds for Alzheimer’s awareness, care and research. “The Longest Day” refers to the summer solstice, when the number of daylight hours is at its peak for the calendar year. Organizations around the world recognize “The Longest Day” to raise awareness about dementia by hosting fundraiser events, “to outshine the darkness of Alzheimer’s,” according to the Alzheimer’s Association. This event is free and open to the public, although space is limited. Please RSVP in advance at www.JacksonCreekSeniorLiving.com or by calling (719) 725-6060.
