Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce - Event Information

Event Name:
Kids' Quilt Class

Description:
Over 3 days the student will learn how to use a sewing machine;  including the parts of a machine, basic stitches, and how to maintain. They will also get a copy of the above book for future inspiration.
Once the basics are taken care of, the fun really begins. We won’t just be using fabrics off the shelf, we will make our own fabric, using fabric scraps and fabric markers. Next we will cut squares and piece them together.

BIO: Pam has been sewing since grade school. She began with doll clothes and moved to making her own clothes, including prom dresses. Later it was clothes for her boys and her nieces, including elaborate Halloween costumes. Now her interests now include modern quilts, bags, and home decorating items. Pam is passionate about bringing this art/craft to others and teaches private and group classes to kids, young adults, and adults. She is a certified Quilt In a Day Teacher, as well as part owner of Sew In Tune, a local, family owned business.
