Jackson Creek Senior Living will host a 4-week dementia boot camp led by Paula Levy, dementia-care expert and certified Positive Approach to Care® trainer. With extensive experience in memory support and consulting services, Paula offers a practical, hands-on course designed to help caregivers, spouses, and families better understand dementia and prepare for what’s ahead.

Understand the four truths, set realistic expectations, and reflect on your journey.

Week 2: Skills & Coping | Thursday, June 12
Learn how senses impact behavior, lead with compassion, and build key coping strategies.

Week 3: Awareness Skills & Five Lessons | Thursday, June 19
Explore sensory changes, sleep/eating patterns, and self-care tools.

Week 4: The Long Haul | Thursday, June 26
Look at the whole person—personality, history, preferences—and discuss health challenges, medications, and care team dynamics.
