Event Description
Please join us for this special event from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm. (Doors open at 6:30 pm). Nikki Stratton will share the powerful story of her grandfather, Donald G. Stratton, whose courage and determination have inspired generations.  A survivor of the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor,  he defied unimaginable odds to ensure his story—and those of his shipmates — would never be forgotten. Central to this legacy is the heroic act of Joe George, who defied orders to save her grandfather and five other sailors, an  act of bravery that earned him a long-overdue Bronze Star decades later.

Nikki Stratton, a Colorado Springs native and youngest granddaughter of USS Arizona survivor Donald G. Stratton, is a passionate advocate for preserving the memory of Pearl Harbor. Her dedication to honoring her grandfather’s legacy has made her a sought-after keynote speaker, inspiring audiences with messages of leadership, resilience and remembrance.

Please bring a friend or two and stay after the program for light refreshments and socializing. All ages welcome. FREE and open to the public. In case of inclement weather we follow School District 38 for weather closures.  We want everyone to be safe.
