The Ascent Church Hosts Community-Wide Monument Block Party
MONUMENT, CO - The Ascent Church is excited to announce its upcoming Monument Block Party, a free community-wide event scheduled for August 24th from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at 1750 Deer Creek Rd., Monument.
This family-friendly celebration promises an afternoon of fun, food, and entertainment for all ages. The event will feature:
- A classic car show by the Monument Classic Car Club
- Free BBQ dinner from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, including a whole pig roast and desserts
- Live music performance by Wirewood Station
- Kids' activities including bounce houses and various games
- Cornhole competition for adults
- A visit from Piggle Wiggles, a live pet pig
- Firetruck display for children to explore
- Refreshments from the Kona Ice truck
"We're thrilled to bring our community together for this end-of-summer celebration," said Brian Petak, Lead Pastor at The Ascent Church. "It's a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy great food, music, and activities while connecting with their neighbors."
The Monument Block Party is open to all community members, aiming to foster community spirit and provide a memorable experience for both long-time residents and newcomers to the area.
