Join us for the Palmer Lake Historical Society's special event - the U.S. Forest Service Monument Nursery 1907-1965 Book Launch! Discover the rich history of our area and celebrate the release of this fascinating book. The event will take place at Palmer Lake Town Hall, so mark your calendars and come on down to enjoy an evening of learning and fun! Bring a friend!

Meet author Dan Edwards, a Palmer Lake resident, who will present his research on the Monument Nursery and share the story behind the creation of the book. FREE and open to the public. Please stay afterwards for light refreshments and socializing. Books will be available for sale. All proceeds go to the Palmer Lake Historical Society who has served the Palmer Divide since 1956. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

For almost 60 years the U.S. Forest Service grew trees and shipped them across the west to reforest the Rocky Mountain West. If you are not able to attend the event and would like to purchase a book please e-mail us at PLHSSecretary01@gmail.com

Palmer Lake Historical Society - Book Launch - Thursday, June 6 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. (Doors open at 6:30 pm). Presentation starts at 7:00. Learn about the history of the Monument Nursery. Author and Palmer Lake resident Dan Edwards will share the information he learned and the story behind the books creation.

Soft cover book will be sold for $30 and hard cover with dust jacket for $40. Limited first editions. 284 pages with over 75 photographs covering the history of the U.S. Forest Service Monuement Nursery from 1907-1965. Raising Millions of Trees for Planting in the Rocky Mountain West. Over four years of research went into writing this book. 

Bring a friend for this event. Many people in the Tri-Lakes area worked at the Nursery. All proceeds from the book go towards the Palmer Lake Historical Society a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit.
