Event Description
The Palmer Lake Arts Council has engaged accomplished artist Maria Kowlaski, MFA, to teach two beneficial and engaging art instruction classes for ages 6th grade to adult. Both classes will be held Thursdays, February 8 through March 14, at the Monument Senior Center, 66 Jefferson Street, Monument. Sketchbook Development class is from 5:00p to 6:15p. Beginning Watercolor Painting will be taught 6:30 - 7:45. Register for either or both at Arts Council Palmer Lake | The Star, The Mountains, The Lake, and The Arts (plartscouncil.org)

Sketchbook Development Class: Building Artistic Skills 5:00—6:15p, Feb 8 through March 14, will use drawing from observation and creative journaling to jump start students’ creative habits, a first step in becoming a professional artist. Beginning Watercolor Landscape Painting 6:30—7:45p, Feb 8 through March14, begins with the fundamentals of landscape painting: composition and color theory. Through assignments out of the classroom and in-class instruction, students will develop essential watercolor techniques, and explore color mixing, color complements, and color harmonies. The cost of either Sketchbook Development or Beginning Watercolor is $200 for the full series of six classes or $45 for drop-in classes. Register at  https://plartscouncil.org/
