Monument Hill Foundation Grant Applications Accepted
Through the Monument Hill Foundation, the Monument Hill Kiwanis Club awards about $50,000 annually in grants, scholarships, and other gifts. Grants are made to charities as defined by the IRS, including various qualifying youth organizations, schools for various educational activities and scholarships, and for various charitable community organizations. The focus of the granting program is also on organizations that have impact in northern El Paso County. Past grants have been given to District 38 Schools, The Place, CASA, Kidpower, Special Kids Special Families, Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Foundation, and others.
The grant application cycle opened on February 1, 2020, and runs through May 15, 2020. In early summer, a team of volunteers reviews the grant requests and determines how to best meet community needs. Competition for these grants is keen. Requests for grants often total 2-3 times the funds available to grant. Go to monumenthillfoundation.org and click on the “Apply for a Grant" link. There you will find information about the grants, instructions for applying, and an easy, online application form.
