The Resource Exchange (TRE) was established in 1964 as the Community Centered Board for El Paso, Park & Teller counties providing the primary entry point for infants, toddlers, children, teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Programs and services include Early Intervention, Community Coordination, Family Support, Break Time Respite and New Height Behavioral Health.
For Early Intervention, children with developmental delays or disabilities, birth to age 3, we provide services such as speech therapy and physical or occupational therapy customized to the child’s unique needs. Early Intervention services are provided at no cost to families. To make an Early Intervention referral or for more information, call 719-577-9190.
TRE has the responsibility for determining whether a person has a developmental disability and is eligible to receive services and supports. The first step is to complete an application including required eligibility determination documentation. Please contact the Intake Department at 719-380-1100 for further information.
TRE works in close partnership with more than 80 human service provider agencies, 20 school districts, and a range of additional corporate partners, from healthcare outlets, to local and regional private corporations, to major colleges and universities across Colorado, the United States and abroad. Through this network of providers and partners, TRE is able to offer the highest quality choices of supports to people with IDD and their families to best meet their needs.
